Q: Does the dealer have to perform my scheduled maintenance?

A: No, they do not. While the warranty requires that the vehicle
receive all of its scheduled maintenance, these services can be
performed by the repair facility of your choice.

Q: How often should I change my oil if I don’t put many miles on my vehicle?

A: We recommend oil changes every 3 months/3,000 miles
(whichever comes first). The reason oil changes are so important at
this interval; even with limited driving, is because the breakdown of
engine oil is accelerated typically by short commute trips.

Q: Can I get my car certified for DEQ at your shop?

A: No, the actual tests required for certification can only be performed at State Operated Clean Air Stations. However, if your vehicle fails DEQ, we are a DEQ certified repair facility and would be more than happy to provide the diagnosis and repair necessary to comply with DEQ standards.

Q: My car runs poorly, do I need a tune-up?

A: Possibly. Sometimes replacing spark plugs, fuel filter,
distributor cap and rotor, etc. may remedy a poor running
condition. However, on most of today’s vehicles there are many other
components that also affect how a vehicle performs, therefore, it is
best to have a proper diagnosis first.

Q: Do I need to leave my car with you all day?

A: This is preferable. If this is difficult we do provide shuttle services within the Metro area. We also offer “After Hours Drop Off and Pick Up” click night drop in right column. for your convenience. Of course not all repairs require the vehicle to be left all day. Please call with questions if this is a concern.

Q: My car has an outstanding recall, can you repair it for me?

A: No. Manufacturers require that all recalls be done by a licensed dealership.

Q: I have an extended warranty. Can you perform these services?

A: Yes, in most cases we can. If your contract states a“licensed repair facility” as opposed to “licensed dealership” we can most likely perform the necessary repairs. Please call or come by with any questions.

Q: I am interested in purchasing a “new”, used vehicle can you assess its condition?

A: Yes! In fact, before you purchase the vehicle, we highly recommend this to help assure your investment is prudent. We will perform a thorough inspection of your vehicle’s engine, transmission, brake system, exhaust, suspension and steering, belts and hoses, safety equipment (seat belts, interior/exterior lights, tires, etc) and will provide an explanation for areas of concern and an estimate of needed repairs. Our mechanical appraisal of the prospective new vehicle provides you the bargaining position to arrive at a fair price with the seller.
